Egli Petta was born 1981 in Athens. She is a member of Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece (painting department). She has studied BA (Hons) Fine Art at the University of Sunderland (with 2:1 grade). After she did her MA in Drawing as Process at Kingston University in London and she decided to continue her studies in Museum, galleries sector at the University of Manchester. Her personal journey in art begins in an early age as she grows up in family orientated environment. Throughout her career as an artist she is interested of the human movement and the figure representation throughout painting and how drawing can explore ways to introduce different cultural backgrounds from materials such as charcoal to oil painting. She is also exhibiting her work internationally. At the moment she works for Spyros Vassiliou Museum in Acropolis, Athens.
